In a recent edition of Leicestershire Garden Design’s magazine, Gardens and Landscapes, we ran a competition asking you to spot the eight varieties of clematis in the paniculata and cirrhosa family in our word search puzzle.
The lucky winner and recipient of £100 of garden nursery vouchers was Jane Hefford of Scraptoft, Leicestershire.
Our design team had the pleasure of landscaping Mrs Hefford’s garden; we installed rustic sandstone paving with charcoal edging and new gravel areas. We were keen to catch up with Mrs Hefford and ask her how she liked her new garden and if she had a favourite feature.
In reply, she sent us this photograph of a stunning flower display that she created last summer in one of her new raised beds. We asked Mrs Hefford how she primarily uses the garden.
She replied, “I use the garden for growing beautiful flowers and enjoying the lovely memories that I have of my late husband.”
Our design team were delighted to hear our client was getting so much satisfaction from her garden and that it is well used. It’s great when we can transform an outdoor space to give our customers the garden experience they desire.
Mrs Hefford hasn’t yet decided on how she will spend her vouchers but is currently looking at some nice garden ornaments. We’re sure with her flair for creating eye-catching displays she will find something attractive to make the garden even more appealing.
“Since I have had the garden landscaped it has given me so much enjoyment,” said Mrs Hefford.
That’s what we like to hear!
