Marshalls Awards 2017 / 2018
Niche Business Awards 2016
The Niche Business Awards were created to highlight and reward excellence across the Leicestershire region; recognising local companies who truly go the extra mile. LGD was chosen for this accolade because of our innovative business plans, exceptional customer feedback and for the craftsmanship and professionalism we bring to every garden design.
As our Head of Operations, Barry Randall said, “it’s a great achievement and one that is testament to the hard work and care that each member of the team puts into every garden and drivway we work on.”
Marshalls Awards 2015
At the Marshalls awards 2015 we were pleased to receive a regional award for a garden we built for the Hill Family in Market Harborough.
The Hill garden won an award for the Best Use of Marshalls Ethically Sourced Fairstone, the team are over the moon with this great landscaping achievement.
Providing quality service is important to us as well as to our customers. We’re proud to have received the following endorsements of the standards of work we do and the systems we use:
- Marshalls Register of Approved Landscape Contractors and Driveway Installers (Specialists in enhanced patio, walling, fencing and design)
- BALI British Association of Landscaping Industries
- Constructionline PLC
- The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme
The Marshalls Register of Approved Landscape Contractors and Driveway Installers assures that we use and install Marshalls products following the suggested guidelines, meaning that our customers get the most out of the materials we use in their garden transformations and ensuring that any work completed will guarantee a lasting impression. In receipt of this award, Marshalls recommend Leicestershire Garden Design Company as professional landscapers.
The BALI accreditation is also obtained by completing a stringent vetting process that requires references from suppliers in the trade as well as from a range satisfied landscaping and garden planning clients, meaning our services come as recommended by past clients.
We hope our work speaks for itself, this level of attention to detail and service wouldn’t be possible without our qualified team of landscapers, managers and office staff.

Specialist contractors – they have to be good
A landscaped garden sometimes requires us to use outside contractors which we employ as part of the process. They can include electricians, pool installers, cleaners, plasterers and bricklayers.
All contractors are carefully vetted for the relevant insurance and health and safety compliance, and if they’re not at the top of their game, polite and professional, we won’t let them near one of our gardens.
